Q. How long do they last?
A. If the Beverly May care instructions are followed your extensions should last 12 months in perfect condition. Many people get longer. It depends on how well the hair is cared for.
Q. I have had glued-in extensions before; how are Beverly May hair extensions different?
A. My extensions are attached using a glue free cylinder. This means there is no fusion and no heat to the hair itself. The extensions are easily moved up by your Beverly May consultant without harming your natural hair and without needing a new extension each time.
Q. So how often do your extensions need to be moved up?
A. It depends a little on your hair type but around 6 to 8 weeks for TRUtips and 4 to 5 weeks for TRUskin.
Q. Can I colour/foil my hair whilst wearing hair extensions?
A. Yes (provided only a maximum of 20 volume peroxide is used). You can foil your hair but using extensions could reduce the amount of foiling required. You can use 2-tone extensions at the back and foil the front which will reduce the amount of damage to your hair.
Q. How are your cylinder extensions different to other cylinder extensions? I’ve seen other cylinder extensions and they stick out from the head.
A. Firstly, they do not lose their colour. Secondly, my method sits totally flat on the scalp and the TRUtip covers the cylinder making it undetectable. The TRUskin is an amazing way of totally disguising extensions in the hair. It sits completely flat on the head and is virtually undetectable.
Q. I have a full head bleach and therefore my hair is already fragile. Can I still have extensions and keep blonding my hair?
A. Yes, using TRUtips and TRUskin will minimise the damage to your hair if you still want extensions. Every time you have your re-growth lightened your Beverly May consultant will take out your extensions, colour your hair and then reapply extensions.
Q. What is the difference between TRUskin and TRUskin + Plus?
A. TRUskin is used for fine hair. TRUskin + Plus is for medium to thick hair.
Q. Will I have to change my hair colour?
A. Generally not. The Beverly May range has more than 25 colours. You can even have splashes of colour throughout. Reds do not fade, unlike natural hair colouring.
